A Mysterious Dark Room
You take three steps through the door. Behind you, it slams shut, and something on the other side goes click.
It's pitch black. Not "lights off" black. Closed eyes black.
You feel your way along the cold wall until your fingers find another door. No handle. Just a small panel that hums when you touch it. It wants a password.
Right in front of your face, someone has written something on the wall. You can tell, because the paint is still a little sticky. But it's far too dark to read.
The password is DARKNESS. — D
If only there were a way to make everything on this wall stand out at once...
Lower down, someone else scratched a warning into the stone, deep enough to feel: Came down here with nothing but a little glowing slab in my pocket. Didn't get far. Whoever you are, bring a proper desk, a keyboard, and a big screen.
